What is Big fish Ministry?
Big Fish Ministry is the vision of Matthew Aaron Walker. We are a bible based, non-profit ministry in Central Florida, who minister to men seeking help with Same-Sex Attraction (SSA) and homosexuality. We also mentor parents, friends and spouses who have loved ones in the LGBTQ+ community. We especially have a passion to see Fathers and Sons reconciled as well.
Big Fish Ministry programs include one-on-one mentoring, educational programs and bi-annual conferences Big Fish Ministry is a residential setting where men receive emotional support, biblical teaching, mentoring and community. These elements are essential for anyone who chooses to walk away from something as deeply rooted as Same Sex Attraction (SSA). When it comes to dealing with SSA the leadership of Big Fish Ministry encourages participants to seek Christian based counseling whenever possible. Regular church attendance, daily prayer and bible study seem like simple answers, but they are essential to the success of any recovery plan as well. Most importantly, we believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is THE necessary first step toward healing from any of life's more difficult struggles.
Every aspect of Big Fish Ministry is voluntary. God respects your free will and so do we. All individual participants must be 18 years or older.

"20 years ago I packed up my car and moved back home. After 10 years, I was leaving my gay life behind. I had lived in 5 cities in 3 states and had more than 30 sexual partners. Life is messy when you are running from God. The spark of one simple belief had ignited a destructive wildfire in my life. Like so many others, I grew up believing the lie that I was "born gay". I felt different than other guys at an early age. I found myself attracted to guys. Regardless of how I felt, I didn't want to be gay. The belief that I was somehow "born gay", compounded by other emotions, led me to doubt my true identity in Jesus, while simultaneously fostering a gay identity. The battle raging inside me between the truth of God's word and my gay feelings left me stuck and hopeless. Jesus Christ was my only hope of RESCUE. He called me out of my gay life and walks with me every step of the way."
